Some things are not worth remembering
Yet we still do. And sometimes it’s stupidly vivid. As in we recall every single thought, feeling, emotion, not through some sort of video or screen, but in a much more personal manner. We re-experience it all again, the flow of events, every step of the way, just like how we, for the umpteenth time, stepped through the door and into our rooms. This time, though, it’s a little less resonant. Like hearing a familiar voice through the telephone instead of in person.
Perhaps still remembering something we’ve been wanting to forget means that there’s still something we need to learn from it; something that still troubles us. Something that, we’ve once decided that the best way to deal with it was to brush it away; forget. But the truth is you don’t forget something until it truly doesn’t matter anymore. Until it’s obsolete, irrelevant, and disconnected; completely unrelated to whether it’s worth remembering or not.
I, still, remember.
Thank you
..for all the troubles and mind grinding thoughts I’ve been put through this past year. I’ve finally realized the personal plateau that was my previous mindset.
Coolest thing I’ve seen in a while.
It’s a concave glass window to an outdoor rock garden. Very zen and unexpected.
